A well loved candle deserves a little attention. These are the things worth knowing before you light the first match.

The First Burn

This one matters the most. Aim to burn your candle long enough to develop a good melt pool across the top, that's usually 2-3 hours. This helps prevent tunneling where the center burns down and the edges never catch up.

A note about coconut apricot wax. It's unique! The melt pool may not reach the very edges of the jar on the first burn and that's completely normal. It settles and evens out over several burns. What matters is that you give it enough time on that first burn to get started. That means close to the edges of the jar. Just don't cut the burn time short!

Trim the Wick

Before every burn, trim your wick to about ¼ inch. A trimmed wick means a steady, clean flame and a longer lasting candle. If the wick starts to mushroom it's burned too long. Just extinguish it, let it cool, and trim before relighting.

Burn Time

Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time. Let the candle cool completely before relighting. Multiple shorter burns are better than one long one.

A Few More Things

Always keep the flame away from drafts, place on a heat resistant surface and keep the wax pool free of debris. Never burn when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom. If burning multiple candles keep them at least 3 inches apart. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Storage

Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Heat and light affect both the wax and the fragrance.

Processing & Ship Days

Orders ship every Monday and Tuesday. This ensures your candles aren't sitting on a delivery truck over a weekend. We'd rather take a little extra time than have your order arrive anything less than perfect. Please allow 2-5 business days for processing before your order ships. During the holiday season processing may take a little longer, so we appreciate your patience.

Summer Shipping Protection

During warmer months (May–September), Summer Melt Protection is automatically added to your cart. This includes thermal bubble wrap and an ice pack to protect your candles during transit. You may remove it if you choose, but by doing so you acknowledge that we cannot be responsible for any melting or heat-related changes that occur during shipping. During May–September we strongly recommend selecting expedited shipping option to minimize time in transit.

Shipping Rates & Delivery

We ship within the United States. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and package weight. Once your order ships you'll receive a tracking number. Most orders arrive within 5-7 business days after shipping.

Packaging

Every candle is packaged carefully and securely using eco-friendly materials where possible. This ensures the candle will arrive in new condition and ready to light and read alongside.
